Golden Pothos

Golden Pothos Care Guide

Light

Golden Pothos prefers medium to bright indirect light but can tolerate low light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves and cause them to lose their vibrant color.

Water

Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Allow excess water to drain away to prevent root rot. During winter, reduce watering frequency as the plant's growth slows down.

Humidity

Maintain moderate humidity levels between 40-60%. Use a humidifier or mist the leaves occasionally to increase humidity.

Temperature

Keep the plant in a warm environment with temperatures between 60-85°F (15-29°C). Avoid cold drafts and extreme temperature fluctuations.

Fertilizer

Feed monthly with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer). Skip fertilizing in winter.

Toxicity

Golden Pothos is toxic if ingested and can cause irritation to pets and humans. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

Additional Care Information

Use well-draining soil to prevent waterlogging and maintain good root health. Prune regularly to control its size and encourage bushy growth. Propagate easily by rooting stem cuttings in water or moist soil.

Troubleshooting

Yellow Leaves: Indicates overwatering. Adjust your watering routine and check soil moisture. Leaf Drooping: Usually a sign of overwatering or root rot. Check the roots and adjust your watering routine. Pest Infestation: Watch for signs of common houseplant pests like spider mites or mealybugs. Treat infestations promptly with insecticidal soap or neem oil.
