Philodendron Brandtianum, also known as Silver Philodendron, is a species of flowering plant in the family Araceae. It is native to South America, specifically Brazil, and was first discovered in the early 1800s by the German botanist Johann Friedrich von Brandt. Brandtianum was named in honour of Brandt, who collected the type specimen of the plant in Brazil. The plant has become a popular houseplant due to its attractive silver-coloured leaves and easy-to-care-for nature.
