Q&A with Caggie Dunlop, founder of podcast Saturn Returns
Tell us a bit about the story behind Saturn Returns. What inspired you to start on this journey?
I was inspired to start the Saturn Returns podcast and concept whilst I was living in LA and going through a big transition myself in my life. I found it a very turbulent time, very uncertain. After someone told me about Saturn Return, I started to learn more about astrology and felt very inspired and a lot less alone, and so I wanted to share some of the knowledge and wisdom I gained in the years after to help others navigate these waters.
What is your favourite mindful activity to boost your wellbeing when you're feeling a bit run down?
It’s very simple, walking! Walking has helped me tremendously especially over a lockdown when we are very limited on what we could do. Exercise has always been so key for my mental health and every day I would walk around Hyde Park and it has become my go to when I’m feeling a bit down - I just walk for an hour maybe two and that really sorts me out.
What does green living mean to you?
Green living means being consciously aware of the impact we are having on the environment and being mindful about the things we consume and the lifestyle we live day to day. I also love having loads of house plants around me and the aesthetic it brings to my home!
How have you benefited from bringing greenery into your home?
It feels like a botanical jungle! There’s also something in having to take care of your plants, it is incredible grounding.
Do you have a favourite corner in your home?
Absolutely, my little botanical reading nook.
What is your favourite plant in your home and why?
I love the Hoya Linearis plant in my bathroom, it really drapes the shower and makes a dramatic impact.
