How to care
Light Requirements
Low to bright, indirect sunlight
ZZ Plants can live in low to bright, indirect sunlight. They’re the perfect plant to bring life to a dark room or corner.
Watering Schedule
Fortnightly watering
Your ZZ Plant only needs to be watered fortnightly, allowing its soil to completely dry out between waterings to prevent overwatering and root rot. During the winter months feel free to only water him once a month if his soil is still moist after 2 weeks.
Humidity
No humidity requirements
ZZ Plants do not have any particular humidity requirements.
Sad Plant Signs
Brown stalks, yellowing leaves, dry tips
Brown stalks and yellowing leaves: suggest your ZZ Plant has been overwatered. Make sure you allow its soil to fully dry between waterings. Dry, crispy tips leaf tips: indicates your plant is under-watered or scorched from direct sunlight.

Zamioculcas Zanzibar, Zanzibar gem; Fern arum
The ZZ Plant, or Zanzibar Gem, Zamioculcas is a genus of flowering plants in the family Araceae, containing the single species Zamioculcas zamiifolia. It is a tropical perennial plant native to eastern Africa, from southern Kenya to northeastern South Africa. Characterised by its thick, beautiful, waxy green leaves. The ZZ Plant is a best-selling houseplant because it can handle low light, any humidity and only needs to be watered every 2 weeks. Great for any serial plant killers out there, beginners, or those with low-light rooms. As well as possessing potent air-purifying powers, the ZZ Plant is a beautiful addition to low-light rooms and features stems that grow in an elegant, wand-like shape with shiny, oval-shaped leaves that resemble feathers.
