Parlor Palm
(Chamaedoera Elegans, Neanthe Bella Palm, Parlour Palm)
Light:
Parlor Palms thrive in bright, indirect light to dappled sun. Prolonged exposure to bright direct sunlight may burn and scorch their leaves.
Water:
Your Parlor Palm enjoys weekly waterings. Allow the soil to dry out between waterings, especially during the winter - when you might only need to water your plant fortnightly.
Humidity:
Parlor Palm does not have particular humidity needs, but enjoys occasional misting.
Temperature:
Your Parlor Palm does not have any particular temperature requirements, but will suffer if subjected to temperatures below 10ºC.
Fertiliser:
Feed with general houseplant fertiliser every 2 months during the growing season (spring to summer).
Toxicity:
Parlor Palm is non-toxic and suitable for spaces with small children and pets.
Additional Care Information:
Parlor Palms are susceptible to mealybugs and spider mites - make sure you keep an eye on your plant to quickly tackle pests if the arise.
Troubleshooting:
  • Yellowing tips that are turning brown with leaning fronds: indicates your Palm has been underwatered
  • Browning Leaves: suggest your plant has not been getting enough light or has been over-fertilised.
