To be a good #plantparent you need to make sure your plants are happy in the temperature of the space you’re putting them in. Typically, indoor plants enjoy the normal room temperature of 20 - 25 degrees, but be mindful when you turn up the heat or air conditioning. One thing plants hate more than anything is dry, stale air. So our advice is to not do this for long periods of time and certainly not when you’re out the house. Think of the environment too!

There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing your little babies grow up into the bigger, more beautiful versions of themselves where they spread their leaves and bloom. However, this is only possible if you give them the space to do so!

Don’t smother your children; give them enough space to be free!

Before even creating your plant gang, make sure you’re taking the time to see what space you’ve got, and what kind of environment you’re working with. Have you got lots of shade? Have you got lots of sun? Is the air humid or quite dry? This information is vital in helping you decide which plant is right for you. We have curated collections of plants for different spaces and lifestyles - so take a look to see which suits you!

There’s always an interior design aspect to consider when it comes to positioning and styling plants. Look online for inspiration for what works where. Big trailing plants in a corner can help to smooth off room edges, whereas lots of little pots on a surface help to add depth and texture. Did someone say #shelfie?!
